The highly anticipated 27th annual Free LakeFest Weekend is back! Presented by the Merriweather Arts and Culture Center in collaboration with the Columbia Festival of the Arts, this FREE outdoor festival promises three days of exceptional live music and performances, a juried Invitational Fine Arts & Crafts show with more than 50 renowned artists, engaging children’s activities, and delectable festival food. Stellar performances range from homegrown talent to acclaimed national and international acts, including trailblazing Cuban artist Telmary Y HabanaSana, the soul-stirring Bette Smith, all-female 10-piece brass band Brass Queens, and Washington D.C.’s own Oh He Dead. See the website for details and a complete festival schedule.
This calendar was created as a community service, to provide Howard County arts organizations with a place to promote their arts events and the general public with a place to find information about those events. Due to the large number of organizations posting to the calendar, the Arts Council is unable to verify event information. Please contact the event organizer to confirm dates, times, and other information.
